What Is Hydro-Jetting?

Hydro-jetting involves a pressured hose with a custom nozzle linked to a machine that forces the water. This action then produces a powerful stream of water pressure that clears the clogged drain.

It usually occurs through a cleanout, which allows plumbers to clean out clogs. The water is pushed through the drain where it continues to flush out oil, mineral build-up, hair, and other fragments. With the most powerful hydro-jetting experience, even tree roots can be broken up to remove blockages.

Our specific hydro-jet is specialized in the fact that it has a 1,000 to 4,000 psi range, and has a higher volume of flush with approx. 30gpm and can go to about 600’ with the hydraulic hose. It uses a John Deere diesel engine (the same as a backhoe or bulldozer) and with the different hose nozzle attachments, it does a great job on clogged drains filled with sand, debris, and even grease. It can also clear a frozen pipe under certain circumstances. The pipe is so clean it usually looks like a gun barrel when we are done.
