Hydro Jetting service
Our hydro jetting service is a sophisticated process that uses a combination of high speed/high pressure water to clear blockages and buildup in pipe systems and is typically the first approach to clearing chronically blocked lines. Excluding the possibility of a collapsed line, hydro jetting will solve the problem and thereafter routine maintenance will keep the lines free and flowing properly. Hydro Jet maintenance of this sort is optimal in ensuring that build-up or grease will not cause eventual blockages that could result in a line breakage requiring more drastic and expensive remediation.
What is Hydro Jetting?
Hydro jetting involves a pressured hose with a custom nozzle linked to a machine that forces the water. This action then produces a powerful stream that clears the drain.
Hydro jetting usually occurs through a cleanout, which allows plumbers to clean out clogs. The water is pushed through the drain where it continues to flush out oil, mineral build up, hair, and other fragments. With the most powerful hydro jetting experience, even tree roots can be broken up.
Our specific hydro-jet is specialized in the fact that is has a 1,000 to 4,000 psi range, has a higher volume of flush with approx. 30 gpm and can go to about 600’ with the hydraulic hose. It uses a John Deere diesel engine (the same as a backhoe or bull-dozer) and with the different hose nozzle attachments, it does a great job on clogs, sand-filled drains and grease. It can also clear a frozen pipe under certain circumstances. The pipe is so clean it usually looks like a gun barrel when we are done.
Our hydro-jetting service is available throughout southeast Michigan including Macomb and Oakland counties.
When would I need Hydro Jetting?
Hydro Jetting is an appropriate course of action when blockages cannot be removed through traditional drain cabling, such as in the presence of strong roots that have found their way into your sewer lines. HydroJetting is also necessary before Pipe Lining because any build-up already present in the existing pipe may cause the epoxy lining resin to be malformed or prevent it from adhering correctly to the existing pipe. Jetting is also a great solution for parking lot jetting to keep your parking lot safe.
What are the benefits of Hydro-Jetting?
Hydro-Jetting easily slices through most roots, debris and grease build-up. It is the ideal way to remove mineral and sludge build-up that will collect inside drains over time.
Although our Hydro-Jetting service is usually the tool to clear out roots from your sewer lines, any amount of root intrusion is cause for serious concern. Recurring Root penetration that consistently causes backups indicates that the roots have gotten thick enough over time to damage the pipe by widening the original entrance into the line. In those instances, Aaron Swift Plumbers recommend getting a Video Camera Inspection to determine the seriousness of the condition, because excavation and sewer line replacement may be required in order to prevent pipe bursting.
